University of Georgia

In 2009, College Advising Corps at the University of Georgia was established in partnership with the Watson-Brown Foundation. Thanks to generous commitments from partners including the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation and Achieve Atlanta, the program now places 23 advisers in 17 high schools.

GCAC works in high schools throughout Georgia to increase the number of low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students who attend and complete higher education. We help students find their way to college by placing well-trained, recent college graduates in high schools to work one-on-one with students as they navigate the complex college admissions process, including researching college options, completing applications, and applying for financial aid.
