Davidson College

College Advising Corps at Davidson College was established in 2014 with nine advisers serving in nine high schools. Since its inception, the program has expanded rapidly and now places 16 advisers in 16 high schools.

Davidson’s college advisers work to increase the number of low-income, first-generation college and underrepresented high school students in North Carolina who enter and complete higher education. To deliver on this mission, College Advising Corps at Davidson College recruits and places well-trained, recent college graduates as full-time, near-peer college advisers in underserved schools and communities to provide the support that students need to navigate the complex processes of college admissions, securing financial aid, and enrolling in schools that serve them well.
