Deepest Sympathies

Dear CAC Family,
It is with deepest sympathy and heartfelt sadness that I share with you the unexpected and tragic loss of North Carolina State University (NCSU) College Advising Corps (CAC) adviser Chantal Carrie Marie Imani Warfield, of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Having graduated from NCSU in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education General Studies and a minor in Africana Studies, Chantal, a native of Natick, Massachusetts, had recently joined CAC as an adviser at Pender High School in Burgaw, North Carolina.

Chantal said she discovered her passion for working with youth while volunteering and mentoring with the Students Advocating for Youth (SAY) Village at NCSU. Chantal had planned to attend graduate school in the field of Library Science after serving with College Advising Corps.

During her time with CAC, Chantal did much to advance our mission. She was devoted to her students and committed to their success. As a result, she was much admired by her students and those with whom she worked.

A service for Chantal will be held Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 2:30 p.m. at Lea Funeral Home, 2500 Poole Rd., Raleigh, North Carolina. Visitation is at 1:30 p.m. The Omega Omega Ceremony is at  2 p.m. Please direct any cards you would like to send to Chantal’s family to:
