Decision Day Planning 2020
It’s officially March and not only are we excited to welcome the beginning of spring, but we are also excited to launch the Decision Day planning season.
Decision Day is one of the most exciting times of the school year for both advisers and students. It’s designed to recognize ALL high school seniors for their post-secondary plans and encourage younger students and families to prepare early for post-secondary education.
Decision Day is held annually on or around May 1 and is designed to coincide with the date that many seniors must inform a college of their plans to enroll.
Advisers put in a great deal of effort to create memorable Decision Day events for students. To support your planning efforts, we’d like to share the following resources:
- Share this Decision Day Overview with school leadership to provide a synopsis of the event and its importance.
- Check out two great Decision Day planning tools: Decision Day Planning Resource Manual (Michigan College Access Network)
College Signing Day Toolkit (Reach Higher).
Register your event on Reach Higher. Doing so makes you eligible for media coverage as well as possible monetary support for your events.
