Congratulations to Zinch Scholarship Winners: Lauren Novitsky of the Carolina Corps and High School Student Aaron Ibarra
Zinch and College Advising Corps teamed up last year to ask the question, “What does going to college mean to you?” as part of a scholarship contest.
The results are in, and we have two winners. Lauren Novitsky, CAC UNC Chapel Hill adviser serving at South Caldwell High School in Hudson, North Carolina, won $1000 for her school by having most students apply to the scholarship.
Aaron Ibarra, a senior at Booker T. Washington Senior High School in Houston, Texas, submitted the following winning response: “It means to be the first of my family to reach a higher education, and to serve as an inspiration for my siblings to aspire for academic greatness. It means my window to the world becomes an open gateway to success and prosperity.”
For this winning entry, Aaron receives a $1,500 scholarship.
Congratulations to both winners! Thank you for everyone that took part, as well as to Zinch for your support.
