Camille Cates

At Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, adviser Camille Cates has worked with Asia-La'Rae Walker and Terrick Willis to help make their college pursuits a reality.

Smith Senior Class President, National Honor Society member and aspiring pharmacist, Asia-La'Rae was admitted to four universities. With help from Camille's weekly bulletins on scholarships throughout the year, Asia-La'Rae has been awarded or nominated for five scholarships, and counting. She will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this Fall.

Terrick will be the first in his family to attend college after being accepted to North Carolina Central University. Camille arranged a trip for Terrick and other members of the Smith football team to visit Central. Terrick felt at home on that visit and decided to apply. He plans to pursue a degree in business and hopes to play for the NCCU Eagles football team.
